I'll always want more. ;)

I love stuffed animals!! The fad right now is UGLYDOLL stuffies. Instead of buying one, I decided to make one myself (I got the idea from my sister). The day I made it was the day after I had to get stitches (well, one stitch) so I made the shape kind of like a tear drop. I used some fabric I already had which turned out to be a light blue. I have a fun collection of buttons so I went through them and found one that would be cool as an eye. For the mouth I used yarn. I made big stitches, then I used the sewing machine (on zig-zag) to hold it in place. Because the fabric doesn't fray, I decided to put the seam on the outside because it would be easier and it would look interesting. Finally, after I had sewn almost all the way around, I stuffed it, then finished sewing the edges. Et voilĂ !

Time for fun.

When I found the sewing machine, I decided to bring it to my room. these are the pictures of most of the things I've made since. The only patterns I used were for the light blue skirt, the green skirt, and the red skirt. For the green and red skirts I had to alter the pattern so I could add the black lace.

Feel free to comment and let me know what you think. :)

The first post!!!

To start off, I'll tell you about the title. There isn't much to it but here it is. My sister is a red head (ginger) and I am always teasing her about it so I thought it would by fun to use it in my blog's name. As for the "fashions" part, I want to one day design my own fashion line and I am using my blog to show how I get there (or how I don't).

During the summer I found my mom's sewing machine in the basement. I also found some odds and ends so here are some pictures of the first things I made.
